Advocacy project

I was responsible for managing the migration of the advocacy and campaigns content to a new site while working as a Digital Editor at Macmillan Cancer Support. I coordinated the digital workflow for this project with a team of editors supporting me. I sourced ‘on brand’ images and communicated with stakeholders over copy and deadlines.

Landing page

What I did

  • Created an area to show off the latest campaign and used tracking on links to analyse its success.

  • Broke up sections with headings to make the landing page more navigable.

  • Signposted to important advocacy work to give the advocacy work credibility.

Our work landing page

What I did

  • Created a very simple and uncluttered landing page which is needed for a topic which is serious and hard to digest.

  • Used vibrant imagery to add life to a topic which can be considered quite dry and boring.

  • Hyperlinks and buttons take the user to relevant content.

What I did

  • Used a vibrant banner image to breathe life into a dry subject.

  • Put a small banner at the top of the page which links to topical information and can be regularly updated.

  • Listed the latest reports and inserted links to the PDFs which keeps the page tidy by not having PDFs on it.
